Our top priority – before, during and after the pandemic – will always be our patients. We have been committed to staying open throughout the pandemic even though at times we have had to reduce our hours of operation.

Like many healthcare organizations as well as other businesses, we are suffering a critical shortage of staff at this time; it is like nothing we have ever seen. We have decided to temporarily reduce our evening hours Monday – Friday to 7:00pm with our telephones going to the answering service at 6:30pm so the staff can address messages received throughout the day and assist the providers with office patient care.

We ask for your patience with wait times on the telephone and in our office as we try to accommodate what we can and respond to your messages. Our staff continues to work diligently at being accommodating and conscious of your time; however, in our current situation, we know we are not up to our normal standards. We are all doing what we can to take the best care of our patients. Sometimes you may be directed to seek care at an outside facility or you may have to wait longer than usual to see your provider. All the providers continue to do their very best but there are times they might not be able to see you in the time frame you desire.

Please keep in mind since the pandemic began our staff has had to adapt to many changes in the way we do business, meeting new challenges in a time where everyone has had heightened stress and anxiety, they have continued to work with little break throughout this health care crisis.

In the past 18 months, FPA has also suffered the loss of 2 well-loved physicians to retirement and a PA who served high-quality care to our patients for 10 years. It is never easy to replace your trusted provider but it is very difficult in times like these to recruit new providers especially when many groups are trying to do the same thing. We have tried to assign those patients across the board to other providers in the group but all the physicians had full panels of patients. You may have been assigned to a nurse practitioner or a physician assistant until we can recruit new physicians. Our physicians trust the care that is provided by all the provider staff and are available to them if questions arise in a patient’s care. Please keep this is mind when you schedule an appointment.
